Questions for Clients
FAQs
- 01We accept traditional Medicare Part B. If you are a Medicare recipient, your Medicare will cover 80% of services and a supplemental insurance plan will often cover the 20% copay and possibly your deductible. We are unable to bill Medicare Advantage Plans/managed plans directly, but invite you to contact your insurance provider to inquire about out-of-network reimbursement benefits. For all others, we are considered an Out-Of-Network provider and can offer a superbill for reimbursement if needed.
- 02We charge the following rates for services: • $150 for 45-55 minute, ongoing sessions • $175 for an initial intake session • $175 for couples and family therapies
- 03The majority of our sessions are held through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. We are happy to provide any technological support to help you get situated on this platform, however most people are able to access it without too much stress! We also offer home-based services for individuals who are home bound and are unable to utilize an online or telephonic platform. These appointments are limited and are based on location and availability.
- 04Everyone’s experiences with therapy are different and are reflective of your needs and your personality. The first session focuses on getting to know each other and to feel comfortable sharing. We will typically ask you questions about what brought you to therapy, what your goals are and any relevant information, such as reviewing important people in your life. It is up to you how much you wish to share and what you feel comfortable discussing. Once we identify goals, we will work together to help address challenges that are arising, while providing space to reflect on your feelings and struggles. Often sessions are laced with humor; therapy doesn’t have to be too formal. As time goes on, we will discuss your progress, possibly identify new goals and determine if you need to meet more or less.
- 05We create individualized care plans for each client based on their needs. This means that everyone has a unique list of goals that they are working towards. Therefore, the frequency and duration with which we meet people varies on these needs and goals. We do try to meet more frequently in the beginning as we are both getting to know one another. Some people benefit from more frequent sessions (such as weekly) while other people meet biweekly or monthly. Sessions last no longer than 60 minutes.
- 06We invite you to call at (267)405-3396 or email at mallory@thrivecounseling.com (mailto:mallory@thrivecounseling.com)for questions or to start services. Please ensure that you have your Medicare card ready to verify benefits. Starting therapy can be intimidating, so please ask any questions that you may have!
